Benjamin is an experienced communications and public relations professional skilled in organizing coalitions, crisis communications, federal policy analysis, and strategic social media planning and execution. He recently served as Director of Operations and Communications for Chairman Rich Glick. Benjamin has over ten years of federal service and joined the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in 2013. He has served with several distinguished FERC officials including Chairman Bay, Commissioner Honorable, and Commissioner Norris. Before joining FERC, Benjamin worked for United States Senator Tom Harkin.

Benjamin has a Master of Science in Communications, focused on Public Relations, from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. While there, he was recognized by faculty with the award for outstanding achievement in public relations. He has a BA in History from Simpson College. He and his husband, Brent, have one dog, Brew, and reside in Washington, D.C.
