Anton Porter is the Executive Director of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Prior to this position, Mr. Porter held several financial leadership positions within the Commission. He served as the Chief Financial Officer (2012 -2013), Deputy Chief Financial Officer (2005-2012), and Accounting Officer (2002-2005). His career at the Commission spans 26 years.

Additionally, Mr. Porter is highly involved in the improvement of core mission support processes within the federal enterprise. He serves on the Executive Committee of the Small Agency Council (SAC). He also has served as the Chairman of the SAC Finance Committee and was the SAC Liaison to the Chief Financial Officers Council. In these roles, he has worked on behalf of sub-cabinet level agencies to ensure financial management, human resources, and information technology guidance issued by federal policy-setting bodies takes into consideration the unique challenges small agencies confront.

Mr. Porter studied accounting at the University of Maryland. He is a native Washingtonian and currently resides in Maryland with his wife and two sons.
