Andy Dodge is the Director of the Office of Electric Reliability (OER). Previously, Andy served as an Electrical Engineer in the Office of Energy Infrastructure Security (OEIS).

Andy has over 30 years of industry and regulatory experience as a proven executive leader and electrical power engineer in all aspects of electric transmission and distribution utilities. Prior to joining the Commission, he served as the Chief Engineer (Director, Engineering Division) for the Maryland Public Service Commission. In addition, he served as Vice President for Technical Services, Vice President for Electric System Operations and Planning, Vice President for Transmission Operations and Planning, and Vice President for Distribution Operations and Planning for Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE). Andy has extensive experience in transmission & distribution system planning and operations, emergency preparedness and storm restoration activities, NERC Reliability Standards Compliance (the Order No. 693 and CIP Standards), regulatory compliance activities, project management, and program management.

Andy earned a bachelor's degree with honors in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland College Park, and a master's degree in electrical engineering from George Washington University. He is also a registered professional engineer in Maryland.

Andy lives in Westminster, Maryland with his wife and family.
