WorkshOPP and Demonstration: Fundamentals of Intervention in FERC Matters

On October 25, 2023, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (FERC) Office of Public Participation (OPP) released an educational video, in the above-referenced proceedings, on intervention in FERC matters. The video “Fundamentals of Intervention in FERC Matters” explains what an intervention is, how to intervene in the correct docket, and why a member of the public may choose to intervene in a FERC proceeding. Interventions are applicable in a number of FERC proceedings, including energy infrastructure (e.g., natural gas pipelines, liquefied natural gas [LNG] terminals, or hydroelectric dams) proceedings and energy markets (e.g., transmission and electric rates) proceedings. OPP staff also address common questions about filing an intervention at FERC.

El video explica cómo y por qué un miembro del público puede optar por intervenir en los procedimientos de proyectos de infraestructura energética (gasoductos, terminales de gas natural licuado (GNL) o represas hidroeléctricas) y/o procedimientos de tarifas eléctricas. El personal también aborda preguntas comunes sobre la presentación de una intervención y demuestra cómo presentar una Solicitud para Intervenir utilizando FERC en línea.
