The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is pleased to announce it has selected Savannah, Georgia as the destination for the next “Environmental Review and Compliance for Natural Gas Facilities Seminar”! The Seminar will begin at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, and finish by 3:00 PM on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

1.      Do not delay with registration!  The Seminar will fill up quickly. 

2.      Registering for the Seminar does not create a hotel reservation for you.  We have a block of rooms reserved at the hotel hosting us.  Please follow the instructions outlined after receiving an email from the FERC confirming your Seminar registration and note that the window to book a room in our hotel block will be very short for this seminar in Savannah.

3.      We ask that you sincerely consider your ability to attend before registering.  Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the seminar often cannot be filled from our waitlist and the open spot goes unused.  Materials are already printed at that point.  If you need to cancel your registration, please notify Robin Griffin at [email protected].

Environmental Review and Compliance for Natural Gas Facilities Seminar

This 3-day interactive Seminar will describe how to successfully navigate the FERC process from project concept to post-construction monitoring.  The first part of the Seminar will step you through the regulations and environmental analysis of a pipeline project focusing on the FERC filing types, environmental report preparation, and the FERC Application processes.  Resource Report 11 and 13 requirements, as they relate to liquified natural gas facilities, will not be covered during the seminar.  The second part of the Seminar will include a brief introduction to pipeline construction for industry newcomers, a discussion of pre-construction preparation considerations, and a review of the baseline mitigation measures for pipeline construction and restoration that are detailed in the FERC Upland Erosion Control, Revegetation, and Maintenance Plan and the FERC Wetland and Waterbody Construction and Mitigation Procedures.
