The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) announced today its search for a new enforcement lead. FERC is looking for an experienced senior level executive to serve as the Director of the Office of Enforcement.
The selected individual will be vital in providing vision and leadership and guiding the evolution and operation of energy markets to:
- Ensure effective regulation and protect customers through understanding markets and their regulation;
- Timely identify and remedy market problems;
- Assure compliance with rules and regulations; and
- Detect and craft penalties to address market manipulation.
