The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) today launches Data.FERC.gov, a new, website designed to streamline public access to FERC information, records, and data.
The website was created in response to the OPEN Government Data Act that requires federal agencies to publish their information online using standardized formats so the public can more easily access the information.
Some categories of data that are now available to the public include: market-based rate data, annual charges data, and the FERC Form 552 (Annual Report for Natural Gas Transactions). Additional data categories will be added to the website.
Key features of Data.FERC.gov include:
- User-Friendly: The website is designed for ease of use, with intuitive search, filtering, and navigation tools.
- Interactive: Users can download data using interactive tools on the site.
- Public Feedback: The website encourages users to submit questions or comments directly to FERC staff.
