Certification Cost Estimate
In the early 1980's FERC had a very extensive proceeding regarding the Certification Cost Estimate of the ANGTS project. The following are the key final orders:

In the late 1970's, the following orders were often referenced by interested parties as 'Conditional Certificates':

Determination of Incentive Rate of Return, Tariff and Related Issues
A very important part of the original ANGTS case was Docket No. RM78-12. This was the rule for Determination of Incentive Rate of Return, Tariff and Related Issues. The following orders came out of this case:

LNG Liquefaction and Export

  • The Federal Power Commission case approving the export of Alaska LNG:
    • April 19, 1967 - Phillips Petroleum Company, Docket No. CI67-1226 and Marathon Oil Company, Docket No. CI67-1227. 37 FPC 777
  • DOE approved of the ongoing exports of LNG from Alaska by Phillips Alaska Natural Gas Corporation and Marathon Oil Company:
  • Beginning in the late 1980's the Commission approved a proposal to export Alaskan Gas by way of an LNG liquefaction and export with the proposed export facility to be constructed at Anderson Bay, Port Valdez, Alaska::
  • The Department of Energy (DOE) issued the following orders in this proceeding:
    • March 8, 1990 - Order Denying Requests for Rehearing and Modifying Prior Order for Purpose of Clarification, ERA Docket No. 87-68-LNG (1990). DOE Opinion and Order No. 350-A
