Nathaniel J. Davis, Sr., Deputy Secretary
Mr. Davis is the Deputy Secretary of the Office of the Secretary. This Office serves as the point of clearance and transmission between the Chairman, Commissioners, Commission Staff, and the general public in promulgating and publishing all Commission orders, notices, rules, and regulations and other official actions of the Commission. Moreover, the Office of the Secretary is responsible for the orderly processing of all matters coming before the Commission and has exclusive authority to authorize the time for initial releases of information concerning official acts of the Commission.
Mr. Davis began his career at FERC in 1992 in the Office of Electric Power Regulation as public utility specialist. Subsequently, he became a manager in the Office of Markets, Tariffs, and Rates - Division of Tariffs and Market Development - Central Group. That group was responsible for analyzing and assessing filings and applications involving the interstate sale for resale or transmission of electric energy and participated in rulemakings and Commission opinions. Mr. Davis holds a bachelors degree in economics from the University of the District of Columbia. Mr. Davis is a native Washingtonian and lives in the city with his wife Sabrina and two sons.
