About FERC Office of Energy Infrastructure Security (OEIS)
David E. Andrejcak, Deputy Director
David Andrejcak is the Deputy Director of the Office of Energy Infrastructure Security (OEIS). OEIS is the new FERC office that will provide leadership, expertise and assistance to identify, communicate and seek comprehensive solutions to potential risks to FERC-jurisdictional facilities from cyber attacks and such physical threats as electromagnetic pulses.
Previously, Mr. Andrejcak was the Director of the Division of Engineering, Planning and Operations within the Office of Electric Reliability (OER). Mr. Andrejcak joined the Commission in 2007 as Manager of Planning in the Office of Energy Markets and Reliability (OEMR). Chairman Kelliher named him to be the Commission representative on the Congressional Task Force for the Smart Grid in 2008. Mr. Andrejcak came to the Commission with more than 24 years of experience in the electric utility industry. He began his career with Virginia Electric Power Company (VEPCO - now Dominion), holding a variety of engineering and management positions of increasing responsibilities dealing with engineering, planning, construction, operations and project management.
Mr. Andrejcak holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He resides in Chantilly, Virginia with his wife Stephanie and family.
