Chief of Staff, Anthony Pugliese - Biography
Anthony Pugliese recently served as the Senior White House Advisor for the United States Department of Transportation. In this role he helped oversee all aspects of the department, including pipeline safety and regulatory issues. Pugliese also played a leadership role in the development and planning of the Presidentís infrastructure proposal.
Prior to this Pugliese worked for Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett in the communications and policy office prior to joining the future Governorís campaign as his Policy Coordinator. As Corbettís Policy Coordinator, Pugliese helped develop and write policy for all boards and commissions in the commonwealth. These included topics involving energy, environmental protection, the Public Utility Commission, infrastructure, tax policy, economic development, and more. Pugliese then served as the Governorís Director of Legislative Affairs focused on energy, tax policy, infrastructure, economic development, and international affairs. Pugliese served on Pennsylvaniaís Marcellus Shale Commission, played an important role in a commitment to build a multi-billion dollar cracker plant, played a leadership role in the saving of the Philadelphia oil refineries, and promotion of the dredging of the Delaware River. Following his time in the Governorís administration, he worked on energy issues involving solar, oil and natural gas, at a consulting firm.
