GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Each of the following General Terms and Conditions applies to each Rate
Schedule contained in this Fifth Revised Volume No. 1, unless otherwise
indicated herein or in the applicable Rate Schedule.
1. DEFINITIONS
The following terms, when used herein or in any agreement incorporating
these General Terms and Conditions shall have the following meaning:
1.1 AGENT. The term "Agent" shall mean any party designated by a
Customer to act on such Customer's behalf under the terms and
conditions of this FERC Gas Tariff.
1.2 BCF. The term "Bcf" shall mean one billion (1,000,000,000) cubic
feet of Gas.
1.3 BILLING MONTH or MONTH. The terms "Billing Month or Month" shall
mean the calendar Month.
1.4 BRITISH THERMAL UNIT (Btu). The term "Btu" shall mean the
quantity of heat required to raise the temperature of one (1)
pound avoirdupois of pure water from fifty-eight and five-tenths
degrees Fahrenheit (58.5o F.) to fifty-nine and five-tenths
degrees Fahrenheit (59.5o F.) at a constant pressure of fifteen
and twenty-five thousandths (15.025) pounds per square inch
absolute (15.025 psia). Such quantity shall be reported in
compliance with NAESB Standard 2.3.9 which is incorporated herein
by reference.
1.5 BUSINESS DAY. The term "Business Day" is defined as Monday
through Friday, excluding Federal Banking Holidays for
transactions in the U.S., and similar holidays occurring in Canada
and Mexico
1.6 COMMISSION or FERC. The terms "Commission" or "FERC" shall mean
the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission or any successor agency.
1.7 CRITICAL NOTICE. The term "critical notice" shall mean a notice,
in accordance with NAESB Standards, which pertains to information
on Pipeline conditions that affect scheduling or adversely affect
scheduled Gas flow.
1.8 CUBIC FOOT OF GAS. The term "cubic foot of gas" shall mean, for
the purpose of measurement of the Gas and for all other purposes
of this Tariff, the amount of Gas necessary to fill a cubic foot
of space when the Gas is at an absolute pressure of fifteen and
twenty-five thousandths (15.025) pounds per square inch and at a
base temperature of sixty (60) degrees Fahrenheit. Such amount
shall be reported in compliance with NAESB Standard 2.3.9 which is
incorporated herein by Reference.
