PRELIMINARY STATEMENT
TransColorado Gas Transmission Company, hereinafter referred to as
"TransColorado," is a "natural gas company" as defined by the Natural Gas
Act (52 Stat. 821, 15 U.S.C. 717-717w) and, as such, is subject to the
jurisdiction of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, hereinafter
referred to as "FERC" or "Commission." As used herein, "TransColorado"
shall not include any of TransColorado's affiliates.
TransColorado is a general partnership consisting of two equal
equity partners organized and existing under the laws of the state of
Colorado. The partners are K N TransColorado, Inc. and Questar
TransColorado, Inc. The TransColorado System extends from the Greasewood
Hub located in Rio Blanco County, Colorado, to a point of interconnection
with El Paso Natural Gas Company and Transwestern Pipeline Company at the
Blanco Plant and the Blanco Hub, respectively, located in San Juan County,
New Mexico.
This Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Gas Tariff, Volume No. 1,
includes general terms and conditions, rate schedules, and forms of
agreements for the transportation service provided by TransColorado
according to 18 C.F.R. Part 284, Subparts B and G under Rate Schedules FT
and IT.
