3.1 QUALITY TESTING.
a. The Party operating the measuring equipment, shall use
approved standard methods in general use in the gas
industry and shall cause adequate tests to be made to
determine the quality of the gas delivered hereunder.
Such tests shall be made frequently enough to insure
that the gas conforms to the specifications hereof.
b. If gas tendered to Transporter fails to meet the
specifications of this Tariff, the measuring Party
shall notify the other Party of such failure. The
receiving Party may refuse to accept such gas. The
Party tendering non-specification gas hereunder shall
indemnify the receiving Party for any injury, damage,
loss, or liability caused by the delivery of such gas,
except to the extent the receiving Party knowingly and
willingly accepts such non-specification gas.
4. MEASUREMENTS.
a. The unit of volume for the purpose of measurement and for the
determination of total heating value shall be the cubic foot
of gas as defined in this Tariff. Volumes of gas measured at
prevailing meter pressures and temperatures shall be
corrected to the unit of volume defined above by the
procedures described below:
(1) Orifice Meters: Installation and the
determination of volumes delivered through orifice
meters shall conform to the recommendations in
"Gas Measurement Committee Report Number Three" of
the American Gas Association as amended, Revised
or superseded from time to time. Values of the
orifice thermal expansion factor, manometer factor
and gauge location factor shall be assumed to be
unity.
