Heating Value: The number of British thermal

units produced by complete combustion at

constant pressure of the amount of gas that

would occupy a volume of one (1) cubic foot at

a temperature of sixty degrees Fahrenheit

(60oF), and under a pressure equivalent to that

of thirty inches of mercury (30" Hg) at

thirty-two degrees Fahrenheit (32oF), and under

gravitational force acceleration (980.665 cm.

per sec. per sec.), with air of the same

temperature and pressure as the gas, when the

products of combustion are cooled to the

initial temperature of the gas and air, when

the water formed by combustion is condensed to

the liquid state, and corrected for any water

vapor in excess of seven pounds per million

cubic feet of gas (7 lbs/MMcf). Heating value

determined by calculation from composition

analysis according to GPA Publication 2172-84,

as amended or revised, shall be converted to

figures that reflect the actual condition of

the gas on receipt or delivery and adjusted for

temperature, pressure, water content or

compressibility.
