PRELIMINARY STATEMENT
Crossroads Pipeline Company ("Crossroads" "Crossroads Pipeline" or
"Transporter") is a natural gas company which owns a pipeline system known
as the Crossroads Pipeline, the principal purpose of which is to transport
natural gas owned by shippers from any points along Crossroads Pipeline
route to various points of delivery along the Crossroads Pipeline route,
which extends from a point near Schererville, Indiana, approximately 202
miles east to a point near Cygnet, Ohio.
Crossroads Pipeline will perform contract transportation service only
under written service agreements pursuant to the Blanket Certificate of
Public Convenience and Necessity issued by the Federal Energy Regulatory
Commission ("FERC" or "Commission") to Crossroads for the activities
specified in Part 284 of the FERC's Regulations as amended from time to
time, after consideration of its commitments to others, delivery capacity
and other pertinent factors.
