PRELIMINARY STATEMENT
This Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (“Commission”) Gas Tariff
is filed by Carolina Gas Transmission Corporation (“Pipeline”). This
Tariff sets forth the rates, terms, and conditions of transportation and
other related services rendered by Pipeline. Pipeline is a natural-gas
company engaged in the business of transporting natural gas and providing
other related services under authorization granted by and subject to the
jurisdiction of the Commission. 15 U.S.C. § 717, et seq. Pipeline owns
and operates an interstate natural gas transportation system in South
Carolina and Georgia, interconnecting with Southern Natural Gas Company,
Southern LNG, Inc., and Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corporation.
The transportation of natural gas and related services are
undertaken by Pipeline only under contracts acceptable to Pipeline after
consideration of its existing contractual commitments, transportation
capacity, points of receipt and delivery, and other factors deemed
pertinent by Pipeline, as more particularly set forth in this Tariff for
each service. Such services to qualified parties are provided on an open-
access, non-discriminatory basis after satisfaction of all requirements
set forth in the service agreement(s), rate schedule(s), and general terms
and conditions applicable to such service(s). Pipeline specifically
disclaims any undertaking on its part to provide service as a common or
public carrier.
This Tariff is filed in compliance with Part 154, Subchapter E,
Chapter I, Title 18 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
