1.23 Gross Heating Value: The total Btu content for a cubic foot of gas
on a dry basis as determined by calculation from compositional analysis
using physical properties of gases at 14.73 psia and 60F as prescribed
by the American Gas Association.
1.24 Intra-Day Nomination: "An intra-day nomination is a nomination
submitted after the nomination deadline whose effective time is no
earlier than the beginning of the gas day and runs through the end of
that gas day." NAESB Definition 1.2.4.
1.25 Mcf: One thousand cubic feet of gas.
1.26 MMBtu: One million Btus. For purposes of this Tariff and
associated Service Agreements, MMBtu and Dth are synonymous.
1.27 Mainline Transportation System: Transporter's mainline
extending generally from a point near Kelso, Washington
to a point near Port Westward, Oregon, and all receipt and delivery points
and ancillary facilities owned in whole or in part by Transporter which
are utilized to provide jurisdictional transportation of natural gas.
1.28 Maximum Currently Effective Rate: The rate, including all
applicable surcharges, designated on Sheet No. 4 of this Tariff.
1.29 Maximum Daily Delivery Obligation ("MDDO"): The maximum quantity
of gas Transporter is obligated to deliver to a Shipper at a specific
delivery point designated on an executed firm Service Agreement.
1.30 Maximum Daily Quantity ("MDQ"): The maximum daily quantity of gas,
expressed in dekatherms, to be delivered by Transporter to Shipper after
transportation, at the Delivery Point(s), after lost and unaccounted for
gas in accordance with the terms of Section 13 of the
General Terms and Conditions.
1.31 Month: A calendar month.
1.31a Monthly Allocation: term used to describe the process where the
allocating party performs the allocation process at the end of the
monthly flow period. NAESB Definition 2.2.4.
1.32 NAESB Definitions/Standards: The business practices and electronic
communication practices promulgated by the North American Energy
Standards Board ("NAESB") as codified in Section 284.10(b) of the
Commission's regulations.
