FERC issues Notice of Intent for preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). Opens NEPA scoping period to seek public comments on the project. |

FERC holds NEPA scoping meeting(s) in the project area. Consults with interested agencies. |

FERC issues Preliminary Draft EIS to cooperating agencies for review. |

5. |
FERC issues Draft EIS and opens comment period. |

6. |
FERC holds meeting(s) in the project area to hear public comments on the Draft EIS |

7. |
FERC responds to comments and revises to Draft EIS. |

FERC issues Final EIS. |

FERC approves or denies project. |

If the project is approved, Applicant may construct and operate the project, only after obtaining Clean Water Act, Coastal Zone Management Act, and Clean Air Act permits. |
