Description: |
The hearing will examine how the independent agencies within the Committee’s jurisdiction have responded to Executive Order 13563, “Improving Regulation and Regulatory Review,” issued by President Barack Obama on January 18, 2011. The following agencies will be represented at the hearing: the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
This hearing is part of an ongoing series on the Administration’s approach to regulatory reform. This hearing follows up on the Subcommittee’s January 26 and June 3, 2011, hearings on the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) implementation of Executive Order 13563 and June 13, 2011, hearing on the Department of Health and Human Services views on regulatory reform.
