Order No. 1000 - Transmission Planning and Cost Allocation - Order No. 1000 enhances the ability of the transmission grid to support wholesale power markets and ensure transmission services are provided at just and reasonable rates for the benefit of consumers.
Small/Low Impact Hydropower - Small/Low-impact hydropower facilities can be developed at existing, non-powered dams and within existing water infrastructure like water supply pipelines, tunnels, flumes, and aqueducts. Integration of Renewables - The Commission pursues market reforms to allow all resources, including renewable energy resources, to compete in jurisdictional markets on a level playing field. Hydrokinetic - Projects that generate electricity from waves or directly from the flow of water in ocean currents, tides, or inland waterways. Transmission - The Commission takes action to bolster investment in the nation's transmission infrastructure, and to promote electric power reliability and lower costs for consumers by reducing transmission congestion. Hydropower - The Commission issues licenses for the construction of new projects; I continuing operations of an existing project (relicensing); and oversees all ongoing project operations, including dam safety inspections and environmental monitoring. Natural Gas - The Commission regulates pipeline, storage, LNG, facility construction, and regulates natural gas transportation in interstate commerce. The Commission establishes rates for services and issues certificates for construction and operations of interstate pipelines and storage facilities. |
